Lucknow: A member of the State women's commission, Priyanka Maurya, recently received a fake call from unknown individuals who requested her personal information. She reported the incident to the Krishnanagar police station, alleging that the callers pretended to be associates of the chief minister's principal secretary and the DM of Unnao. Priyanka stated that she believed the opposition was behind this attempt to damage her reputation through trickery. An investigation has been opened based on her complaint. The first call occurred on Sept 9 while she was at her home on Kanpur Road, with a second similar call on Sept 30. Both times, the callers claimed to work for high-ranking officials and sought her personal details. Priyanka decided to take action by filing a complaint with the police. DCP South Zone, Keshav Kumar, confirmed the registration of an FIR and an ongoing investigation into the matter.
